that is very expensive......... I think all the soldering and desoldering i've done is enough to let me try it. Found a good site w/ many pics of the boards and they are nothing special.... Just a DIP-28 socket, a desoldering tool (or iron) a socket, some solder and a lot of patience and you have a socketed EEPROM...... I think i'll try it one of these days and post the results....... and btw you can program your eeprom for free w/ some very basic parts on your computer. You can build an EEPROM righter for next to nothing unless you want a fancy one and there are freeware programs out there that will write the chip for you.... Probably not a good idea to do this unless you are very confident in your abilities.....
